Orthopaedics deals with the musculoskeletal system: bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Many problems are managed without an operation, with injections, physiotherapy and time.
What we treat
- Fractures and dislocations
- Arthritis of the hip, knee and shoulder
- Sports injuries, including ligament and cartilage tears
- Back and neck pain, and sciatica
- Tendon problems, including frozen shoulder and tennis elbow
- Hand and foot deformities
- Bone and joint infections
Before your appointment
Bring any previous X-rays or scans, including films taken elsewhere. They save repeating imaging and show how the problem has changed.
