Helping the diagnosis
Bring previous scans and a written timeline of your symptoms — when they began, how they have changed, and what makes them better or worse. If episodes come and go, a phone video of one is often more useful than any description.
Call an ambulance for
Sudden weakness or numbness on one side, sudden difficulty speaking or understanding speech, sudden loss of vision, or the worst headache of your life. In stroke, treatment options depend on how quickly you arrive.
