- Problems following a difficult birth
If your child has seizures
A phone video of an episode is often the single most useful thing you can bring — far more informative than a description after the event. Note how long it lasted, which part of the body was involved and how your child was afterwards.
Call an ambulance if
A seizure lasts more than five minutes, one seizure follows another without recovery in between, or your child does not return to normal awareness afterwards.
